  • What type of therapist do I need?
    • Type your problem in to the search box on the homepage and we will show you a list of therapists in your area who can help.
  • How do I check my therapist's credentials?
    • In each "Checked by Therapyweb" therapist's profile page you can either view their entry on their professionals body's website or their qualification certificate.
  • How much do the sessions cost?
    • Most therapists list their fees on their profile page. You can also filter search results by fee range.
  • Why are some therapists more expensive than others?
    • Fees vary for many reasons such as the type of profession/therapy and location.

How to make an appointment

  • How do I make an appointment?
    • You can contact the therapists directly by using the contact form on their profile page or call them using the number listed on their page.
  • What is the free pre-session consultation?
    • Full details of this offer can be found here.
  • How long will I have to wait for an appointment?
    • Therapist's waiting lists do vary and it is best to check this with your chosen therapist when making your initial enquiry.
  • Where do the therapists see clients?
    • Therapists list their practice address(es) on their profile page.
  • How long do the sessions last?
    • Durations of sessions vary depending on the type of therapy required but they are generally from 30 - 60 minutes, although initial assessments can take longer. It is best to check this with your therapist when making your initial enquiry.
  • Do I have to commit to a large number of sessions?
    • No, most therapists will conduct an initial assessment session and then make a recommendation as to the type and number of therapy sessions that you require. It is then up to you to agree with the therapist as to the number of sessions you wish to commit to.
  • How do I know if clinics have disabled access?
    • If there is disabled access at the therapist's clinic this will be stated on their profile page.
  • How do I pay for the sessions?
    • Payment for all therapy sessions is made by you directly to the therapist.
  • Can I claim for the treatment costs through my health insurance?
    • Many therapists will accept payment via health insurance companies but please check with your therapist at the point of your initial enquiry.
  • What if I need to cancel an appointment?
    • Therapists will normally agree terms with you at the start of the treatment, which will include a cancellation policy.

  • Is my information kept confidential?
    • Information sent via Therapyweb goes directly to the therapist concerned and is not accessible by anyone else.
    • No information about clients is published on the site.

    • Full details of the problems listed on the site can be found under the Problems tab on the homepage. If the problem you are looking for is not listed then please contact us as we are adding new categories all the time.
  • There are no therapists near to me.
    • The search results will always show you the nearest therapists we have to you. If there are no therapists close to you then you can either try searching under a different category or look again in the next few weeks as our network is growing all the time.
